SOUTH GATE : L.A. Philharmonic Offers Free Concert

The Los Angeles Philharmonic will stage a free concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 30 in the South Gate Municipal Auditorium.
The evening’s program will feature Latin music by composers Aaron Copland, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Manuel de Falla and Alberto Ginastera. Grant Gershon will conduct the performance, which will feature mezzo-soprano Carmella Jones.
The concert, one in the city’s Neighborhood Concerts series, is free, but tickets are required and can be reserved by calling in advance.
