Cypress Shuts Out Ohlone in Soccer

Five players scored as Cypress beat Ohlone, 5-0, in a nonconference women’s soccer game Sunday in Fremont.

Christine Tyler, Traci Osman and Carlye Wind scored in the first half for Cypress (2-0). Jennifer Salerno and Lea Russell scored in the second half for the Chargers.

Cypress, the defending Orange Empire Conference champion, reached the State title game last fall but lost on penalty kicks to DeAnza.
