WASHINGTON — A 14-year-old girl who joined President Clinton last year in a televised appeal to end juvenile violence was assaulted at the school she attends.
District of Columbia police said Alicia Brown and two other girls were attacked and beaten Thursday by four other girls. Authorities had no motive for the assault.
Clinton called the girl at her home from aboard Air Force One as he was returning to Washington from Cleveland. “I’m so sorry this happened, but keep your chin up,” Clinton told her. “It must have been frightening for you.”
