Charles Saatchi Leaves Agency: The beleaguered Saatchi & Saatchi Co. said it has accepted the co-founder’s resignation, but he maintains he was forced out. Neither side would publicly discuss the terms of the departure. A spokesman for Charles Saatchi said Saatchi wants to work in the advertising agency being formed by his brother, Maurice Saatchi, whom London-based Saatchi & Saatchi ousted as chairman in December. Saatchi & Saatchi said there would be nothing to stop Charles Saatchi from doing that. The new agency has won its first client defections from Saatchi & Saatchi: publisher Mirror Group and tobacco maker Gallaher Ltd.
