COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Fullerton Women Shut Out Pasadena

Fullerton lost only one set in seven matches en route to a 7-0 victory over Pasadena in nonconference women’s tennis Thursday at Fullerton College.
Michelle Caravajal and Lisa Salyer swept their singles sets, then teamed to beat Polyanna Kwok and Annie Lim, 6-0, 6-1, in doubles.
Debbie Vonusa, Heather Campbell and Julianna Smet also picked up singles victories and Vonusa and Campbell won the other doubles match, 6-2, 6-2, for the Hornets (2-0).
In other nonconference women’s tennis:
Long Beach 6, Saddleback 3--Ann-Marie Roseen, Vicki Peterson and Claudia Hernandez picked up singles victories for Saddleback.
In nonconference women’s softball:
Saddleback 4, Southwestern 1--Amy Blohm went two for three with a run scored and her double drove in the go-ahead run in Saddleback’s four-run fifth inning. Becky Polk pitched a five-hitter, striking out seven, for the Gauchos (4-1).
In nonconference men’s track and field:
Rancho Santiago 80 1/2, Orange Coast 66 1/2, Grossmont 29--Ty Wynn won the triple jump, pole vault and javelin in the field and ran first in the 110 hurdles to lead Rancho Santiago.
