Northrop Announces Boeing Deal: In a boost for its commercial aircraft division, Northrop Grumman said it established a long-term relationship with Boeing Aircraft to build aircraft parts into the next century, replacing the current piecemeal production system. The agreement consolidates several existing contracts and could be worth about $6 billion over several years, depending on the total number of completed airplanes. Northrop would not reveal the length of the agreement, which covers fuselages and other parts for the Boeing 747, 757 and 767 airliners.
