Seven participants have won awards in the 12th annual all-media juried exhibition “cARTe Blanche” at the Brea Gallery. First place (a $300 prize) went to Roger Marshutz for his painting, “David--Homeless”; Scott Katano won second place ($200) for “Close the Door Before You Leave”; and Constance Kocs won the third place ($100) for “Virtue.” Honorable mentions were awarded to Howard Steinberg, Elizabeth MacQueen, Brad Faegre and Lorraine Maschler. Juror Dorrit Rawlins, curator at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, selected 114 works for the exhibition--which continues through May 20 at the civic and cultural center gallery--out of 400 submissions.
