Port of Hueneme officials credited an improving economy and a peak in the citrus shipment season for the record 37 ships docking in March. The previous high was 32 ships, reached in July, 1994. . . . The Ventura City Council, hoping to lure a Super K mart and millions of dollars in sales tax revenue, will hire a consultant to study the impact of waiving $1.5 million in building fees for Lundin Development of Huntington Beach, which says it will build the new store on Victoria Avenue only if the city drops the fees. . . . Kinko’s copy center, based in Ventura, has announced a joint venture with Kodak to test-market a new technology featuring color document imaging software in 50 Kinko’s stores this year. . . . Grubb & Ellis Co., an Oxnard commercial real estate company, has opened a second Ventura County office in Thousand Oaks. Primary brokers for the new office will be Stephen F. Doll and Gary Arendts.
