LA PALMA : Volunteers Needed to Paint Over Graffiti

The city government is seeking volunteers to work from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday painting graffiti-covered walls at the entrance to the city at Moody Street and Crescent Avenue.
Volunteers are asked to call the city’s Recreation and Community Services Department at (714) 522-6740 by 5:30 p.m. Friday to register. Workers will assemble at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at King Elementary School, 8710 Moody St.
“We’ll have paint and brushes, but if volunteers have brushes, they can bring them,” said Janet Cates, a recreation supervisor. She said a free lunch, donated by local businesses, will be served to volunteers at noon.
