I’m a little confused as to Paul Mazursky’s comment regarding “The Pickle” not being test-screened (Film Clips, Aug. 27). I for one attended a test screening of it, complete with comment cards, in Santa Monica on the Promenade. It was a most unusual film, which I did not understand or relate to.
Those in the media who are “dissing” the budget of “Waterworld” should instead spend their free time viewing films such as “The Pickle” and explain why they were greenlighted in the first place.
