I found “Inn-side Istanbul” (Aug. 13) interesting, as Istanbul has long been on my list of places to visit. However, I didn’t understand why Rich Rubin referred to the Blue Mosque as Istanbul’s most famous sight; I had always thought that honor belonged to the Hagia Sophia. Two art history books I have make no mention of the Blue Mosque, although both discuss the Hagia Sophia. Encyclopedia Britannica and World Book Encyclopedia both have entries for Hagia Sophia, but only Britannica has an entry for the Blue Mosque.
