Taft 40, Birmingham 24--Donald Carpenter rushed for 193 yards and four touchdowns in 23 carries to lead Taft (7-2-1, 6-1) at home. Nick DiPadova accounted for two touchdowns for Taft, rushing for one and passing for another.

Birmingham’s Emmanuel Evans rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown in nine first-quarter carries before leaving because of an ankle injury. The Braves (4-6, 3-4) were paced by Scott Doherty, who completed nine of 20 passes for 131 yards and connected with Lavon Rockett on two scoring plays.
