HUNTINGTON BEACH : Builder to Work With Students on Project
- Share via
High school students are learning about the business end of the building industry by trying their hand at designing, advertising and marketing new homes.
For the second year, local home builder Seacliff Partners/New Urban West Inc. is working with the Huntington Beach Union High School District to offer training to students in search of a business career, said Connie Young, a spokeswoman for Seacliff Partners/New Urban West.
In one of its project last year, the cooperative program involved Ocean View High School students in designing a logo for an upscale housing development.
High school teachers and school district administrators say the venture gives students a realistic view of career opportunities.
