Ventura’s Dudley House will be decked in boughs of holly and pine and stuffed full of crafts, antiques and collectibles starting Friday for three weeks of fund-raising boutiques.
The Victorian Holiday Boutique will kick off with a preview party at 7 p.m. Friday, featuring live entertainment, refreshments and a first look at crafts made by local artisans, officials said. Tickets to the event are $10.
Admission to the boutique is free. It will open on three successive weekends, starting Saturday and Sunday, continuing Dec. 1 to 3 and concluding on Dec. 8 to 10.
Boutique hours are 11 a.m to 5 p.m.
Dudley House is located at North Ashwood Avenue and Loma Vista Road. The turn-of-the-century farmhouse is being restored to reflect the life of Ventura’s Dudley family during the period from 1895 to 1925.
A portion of the proceeds from the boutique will be used to finish restorations to the two-story home. Volunteers with San Buenaventura Heritage Inc. are nearing completion of the project and plan to open the home for tours and weddings in 1997.
