The Builders Exchange of San Fernando Valley, which links construction planners with builders and developers, will have an open house Saturday.
About 4,000 architects, surveyors, engineers, appraisers and others have been invited to visit the organization’s service facility between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 7250 Valjean Ave.
The service organization was created in 1993 by Mike Silva, who wanted to link licensed contractors with builders and developers. The service is also accessible to consumers and homeowners seeking information on remodeling or building.
Over the next several months, Builders Exchange will sponsor seminars for consumers and homeowners. The first seminar, “How and Why to Document and Prepare for the Next Earthquake,” is scheduled for Jan. 20.
