Woman’s Body Found Near Tracks Identified

GLENDALE — A woman found dead near Metrolink railroad tracks early Friday morning has been identified as Renee Chavez, a 35-year-old Los Angeles resident, police said.
Chavez’s partially clad and beaten body was found in bushes near tracks north of Chevy Chase Drive, Glendale Police Sgt. Jim Lowrey said.
Police said Chavez was identified by her parents. They had reported her missing Wednesday.
Police asked anyone with information on Chavez’s whereabouts from Dec. 16 through Dec. 22 to contact Glendale detectives at (818) 548-3987.
