Cross Has Mild Wrist Sprain; Grades Stall Morbley

Cal State Northridge point guard Trenton Cross has only a mild sprain of his right wrist, X-rays revealed Saturday.
Cross, who missed the second half of Friday night’s game against St. Mary’s because of the injury, will travel with the team to the Tennessee-Chattanooga tournament next weekend, Coach Pete Cassidy said.
Cassidy also said that forward Damion Morbley, the Matadors’ leading scorer, is still in academic limbo. Morbley was unable Friday to meet with the requisite instructors to clear up a problem with his fall-semester grades.
Morbley did not make the trip to Moraga for the St. Mary’s game because of the problem, which could affect his eligibility for the remainder of the season.
