13 Historic Lodgings Join National Trust

Thirteen accommodations, including two in California, have been made members of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, which showcases hotels, resorts and inns that have historical significance. To qualify, member properties must be at least 50 years old, be listed in or be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places or be recognized locally as having historic significance.
In California, the new members are Los Laureles in Carmel Valley, and Hotel La Rosa, Santa Rosa. Other newcomers are Hotel Boulderado, Boulder, Colo.; Lighthouse Inn, New London, Conn.; 1842 Inn, Macon, Ga.; the King and Price Beach & Golf Resort , St. Simons Island, Ga.; Historic Inns of Annapolis, Annapolis, Md.; Eagle Mountain House, Jackson, N.H.; The Hermitage, Nashville, Tenn.; the Driskill, Austin, Texas; Linden Row Inn, Richmond, Va.; the Empress, Victoria, B.C., Canada, and Le Chateau Montebello, Montebello, Quebec, Canada.
