Chantal Faces Suit Over Lab Deal: In a suit filed in Arizona, Amado-based Amado Institute Inc. alleges breach of contract and fraud, saying Los Angeles-based Chantal Pharmaceutical Corp. never intended to go through with the purchase of a laboratory that Chantal had said it would use to quadruple its production of the anti-wrinkle cream Ethocyn. Chantal announced the purchase in July, then canceled it in September, saying the lab did not meet its needs. Chantal executives were not available for comment.
