Fairness Lacking in Medical Community

* Regarding “Heart Transplant Saves Man’s Life, Marriage,” Feb. 1: Isn’t Jeff Litoff entitled to the same consideration as the Siamese twins from Tijuana?
Jeff Litoff is a family man who supported his family, and we know he would have died had he not received his transplant. There was no guarantee what would happen with the Siamese twins.
Neither of these families could have paid these medical bills. So, medical people, where is the fairness?
