Burris, Arnold to Play at CSUN

Receiver Kenyatta Burris and quarterback Aaron Arnold of Monroe High have committed to play football at Cal State Northridge.
Burris was an All-City Section 3-A Division selection.
Northridge also got a commitment from Eric Falconer, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound defensive lineman from Stockdale High in Bakersfield.

Running back Sam Paneno of La Canada has committed to Hawaii, and running back Abed Abusaleh of Harvard-Westlake has committed to Columbia, an Ivy League school that does not offer scholarships.
Soccer
The Southern Section has ruled that a Golden League match Jan. 9 between Highland and Quartz Hill highs will not be replayed.
Quartz Hill protested Highland’s 2-0 victory because an official misapplied the rules, but the section ruled that Quartz Hill did not follow the correct procedure in making the appeal.
