Mark your calendar for a beautiful conjunction of Venus and the thin crescent moon Feb. 21. During evening twilight, Venus sits two degrees (four moon diameters) directly above the 3-day-old crescent moon. Both are halfway up the southwest sky. Photographers take note. A late-twilight picture framed with distant palm trees could be quite attractive.
