LANCASTER — A garbage worker unloading a trash truck Thursday discovered the body of a dead infant mixed with the garbage, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
The body was found about 11:30 a.m. at Waste Management of Lancaster in the 600 block of East Avenue F, Deputy Mark Bailey said.
The worker was unloading recyclables from a garbage truck that had just made a run through Lancaster.
Bailey said an autopsy will determine the infant’s sex and the cause of death.
