Remember ‘Trial by Jury’?

When my wife and I saw a preview of “The Juror” a few weeks ago, we were astonished that anyone would bother producing a remake of “Trial by Jury” so soon after its dismal showing in 1994.
What surprised us even more was that Kenneth Turan made no reference to the similarities between the two films in his review of “The Juror” (“Tampering With ‘Juror,’ ” Feb. 2). If Turan is checking to see if his audience is paying attention and/or generating reader response, he has been successful.
