Kerkorian Tops Chrysler Stockholder List: Chrysler Corp. dissident shareholder Kirk Kerkorian is once again the owner of the biggest single stake, 13.75%, in the auto maker. The 78-year-old billionaire regained the title from Fidelity Investments, which said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that its mutual funds cut their combined stake in Chrysler to 13.1% from 14.55% during the fourth quarter. Reports of Fidelity’s stock sale come as Chrysler disclosed in an SEC filing that it is willing to have Kerkorian on the company’s board. Analysts said Fidelity’s decision to sell Chrysler shares was probably influenced more by the company’s business outlook than by the 10-month battle involving Kerkorian and Chrysler management.
