Leonard J. Costanza, 74, who became a popular television commercial performer as a senior citizen. After he was “discovered” playing bingo at the Westchester Senior Center, Costanza was cast in a conga line for a Little Caesars commercial. The spot ran on television from 1991 through 1994 and won a Clio award. Costanza wanted to share his success with other retired people, so he helped start acting classes taught by actress and gerontologist Linda Jacobsen at the Westchester center. The classes were part of a program sponsored by the Los Angeles Unified School District’s adult education division for those over 55. On Sunday in Los Angeles.
