. . . A rally to save Orange County’s oldest nightclub from the wrecking ball turned into more of a wake for the doomed Golden Bear in Huntington Beach.
Some of the biggest names in music and comedy had performed at the club: Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Bruce. But the owners had filed for bankruptcy, and the building had been declared unsafe.
