Cash Continues to Raise St. Francis in Playoffs, 4-2

Kris Cash scored twice as the St. Francis High boys’ soccer team defeated San Luis Obispo, 4-2, Tuesday in a Southern Section Division III second-round playoff game at San Luis Obispo (16-6-2).
Cash, who has scored four goals in two playoff games for the Golden Knights (20-3-2), scored only three during the regular season.
Andy VanOrden and Eric Johnson also scored for St. Francis, which plays Palmdale on Thursday.
In other Southern Section second-round games:
Rio Mesa 7, Lynwood 0--Jaime Ambriz and Carlos Perez each scored two goals while Chris Galante, Ryan Reeve and Greg Molthu scored once for the Spartans (15-6-3) in a Division II rout at Rio Mesa.
Sierra Vista 2, Moorpark 1--Carlos Ochoa scored his second goal with five minutes remaining to give the Dons (22-3-2) a Division IV victory at Moorpark.
Hugo Ramirez scored his 12th goal one minute into the second half off a pass from Juan Amezcua, tying the game for Moorpark (13-7-5).
La Canada 2, Corona Centennial 0--Chap Early and Matt Danneker each had a goal and an assist for the top-seeded Spartans (22-0) in a Division IV victory at Corona Centennial.
GIRLS’
Harvard-Westlake 4, Lakewood St. Joseph 0--Freshman striker Lizzie Fisher scored three goals for the top-seeded Wolverines (22-4-1) in a Division II game at St. Joseph.
Alta Loma 1, La Canada 0--Lauren Arase stopped nine shots for La Canada (13-3-5) in the first 115 minutes but was beaten on a direct kick in sudden-death overtime of a Division II game at La Canada.
Righetti 2, St. Bonaventure 1--Emily Hubbard scored in the second half for the Seraphs (19-1-5) before the Warriors broke a 1-1 tie to win a Division IV game at Righetti.
Paraclete 3, Cate 0--Lisa Ament, Margo Horner and Kirsten Velotta scored goals for the Spirits in a Division IV victory over the Rams (9-2) at Paraclete.
Alena Valdez stopped eight shots to record her 12th shutout of the season for Paraclete (17-1-5).
