Pilots Union Provides Details of Tentative Delta Pact: The Air Line Pilots Assn. said the four-year labor agreement would have pilots accept a 2% pay cut in return for stock options in Delta Air Lines Inc. In addition, the union said, it would have a nonvoting board seat, and Delta would recall all of 472 furloughed pilots, improve its retirement plan and begin offering voluntary early-retirement packages. Atlanta-based Delta is in the midst of a wide-ranging plan to cut annual expenses by $2 billion. It had hoped to reduce pilot costs by $340 million a year. The tentative agreement, reached Tuesday, averted a strike vote.
