Music: In a long-expected move, Thorn-EMI shut down the urban music department at Capitol Records and issued pink slips to nearly two dozen employees at the Hollywood-based firm. It is unclear how many recording acts will be paired from the artist roster when New York-based EMI Records takes over marketing and promotion chores for Capitol’s rap and R&B; performers.
