Defendants Deny Plot to Kill Rabin

TEL AVIV — Three Israelis pleaded innocent Monday to plotting the murder of Yitzhak Rabin, and one accused investigators of using psychological pressure to force him to confess.
Confessed assassin Yigal Amir--charged with the murder in a separate trial--his brother Hagai Amir and defendant Dror Adani denied a conspiracy to kill the Israeli prime minister Nov. 4.
Investigators said the three previously admitted to plotting Rabin’s murder to try to halt Middle East peace moves.
But attorney Moshe Meroz, who represents Hagai Amir, said, “The investigators used psychological pressure to force him to confess.”
