Man Shot Dead in Apartment

PANORAMA CITY — An unidentified man was shot to death with a large-caliber handgun in a vacant apartment early Tuesday, police said.
The manager of the apartment building in the 8700 block of Tobias Avenue discovered the body in an apartment living room about noon when he passed by its open door.
The victim did not live in the building, but was frequently seen in the area, police said.
Neighbors said they heard shots fired early Tuesday, according to police.
Police said they had no suspects in custody.
