Fire that engulfed four propane-filled tankers of a derailed freight train spread to six more cars, and authorities threatened to arrest anyone who tried to return to the evacuated town of Weyauwega. About 1,700 people within a two-mile radius were evacuated, and many complained that pets had been left behind and pipes could freeze after they were told they might not be allowed home for days. Thirty-seven cars of the 81-car Wisconsin Central Ltd. freight train derailed.
