Oh Brother! It’s Bad News for Bakersfield

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Andy Listerman scored a layup off a pass from his brother, Kevin, with 2.8 seconds left as No. 19 Northern Kentucky upset No. 6 Cal State Bakersfield, 56-55, in the NCAA Division II quarterfinals Wednesday night.
Northern Kentucky (24-6), which lost to Bakersfield, 83-71, on Dec. 18, will meet second-ranked Virginia Union in the semifinals tonight.
Bakersfield (26-4) had gone ahead, 55-54, on Damon Smith’s two free throws with 31.8 seconds left.
Kebu Stewart had 25 points and 16 rebounds for Bakersfield. Andy Listerman finished with 19 points.
