From Times Wire Reports
United Nations civilian police have recovered 104 bodies from a shipwreck that occurred Thursday off a remote stretch of coast in southwestern Haiti about 140 miles west of Port-au-Prince, U.N. spokesman Eric Falt said. Falt said only three survivors had been confirmed, and it was not expected that any more survivors would be located. The owner of the boat said he sold tickets to 150 passengers, leaving 43 people still unaccounted for, Falt said. Local radio reports said the boat had been badly overcrowded when it sank after hitting rocks.
