Dancers to Perform at Multicultural Fair

Polynesian, Brazilian, Chinese and Mexican dancers will perform this week at Ventura College as part of a weeklong fair focusing each day on a different culture.
Asian Pacific Islander Day will launch the Ventura College Culture Fair on Monday with speakers and two dance performances. Polynesian dancers will perform from 11 a.m. to noon on the campus quad, and a Chinese dance group will perform at 1 p.m.
On Tuesday, African American and West Indian Day will be celebrated with speakers and a barbecue on the campus quad.
Ballet Folklorico will perform from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday for Latin and Native American Day. The group Danca Brazil will perform from 1 to 2 p.m.
Euro American Day on Thursday will feature various speakers.
On Friday, a concert featuring several bands will be held at the college’s baseball field off West Campus Way.
Tickets for the concert, which starts at 11:15 p.m., cost $3. All other events are free and open to the public. For information, call 671-1060 or 654-6400, ext. 1328.
