Corona del Mar’s Nadia Vaughan and Newport Beach’s Caylan Leslie won their first-round doubles match at the Easter Bowl Junior Tennis Championships in the girls’ 14 division. Vaughan and Leslie edged Christina Denny (Ohio) and Shika Uberoi, 7-5, 7-6. Huntington Beach’s Melissa Esmero and Adrianna Hockicko also advanced by defeating Florida’s Vicki Costa and Courtney Bergmann, 6-1, 2-6, 7-5.
