N. Korea Violates DMZ a 3rd Time

SEOUL — North Korea on Sunday violated the demilitarized zone that separates North and South Korea, the third incursion in as many days.
Between 150 and 180 North Korean soldiers entered the DMZ on Sunday night, placed mortars and aimed machine guns at the South. As on Friday and Saturday, the soldiers stayed 2 1/2 hours and left without incident.
The violations started after North Korea said it would no longer honor the buffer zone established at the end of the Korean War in 1953.
