Pero Vasiljevic, Simi Valley High’s 6-foot-9 center from Adelaide, Australia, will visit Gonzaga this weekend before deciding among scholarship offers from Gonzaga, UCLA, Pepperdine and Kansas State.
Vasiljevic, The Times’ Ventura County player of the year, led the county in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots.
Miscellany
Lake Casitas will be stocked this week with more than 1,800 pounds of rainbow trout, the final stocking of Idaho trout this season. Each fish weighs about a pound.
The Tri-County Sports Show, with more than 200 boats, trucks and recreation vehicles on display, runs daily from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ventura Fairgrounds through Sunday.
