* * * Chanty Savage, “I Will Survive (Doin’ It My Way),” RCA. Savage is a wonderful singer with the kind of voice that wraps around you like a warm embrace. Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” in Savage’s hands becomes a velvety ballad, while her cover of Patty LaBelle’s “Love, Need, Want” is assuredly sensual. As a song stylist, she does it up in fine fashion.
