Re “Doctors Urge Plan to Ration Bullets in L.A.,” April 5:
No bullets for Los Angeles; it sounds pretty good to me. You cannot shoot anyone with an empty gun. Thumbs up for Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas. Note: Will Los Angeles residents be able to drive to another town to purchase the bullets they cannot purchase in town?

* This is truly one of the most laughable proposals to control criminal behavior that we have seen in a long time. Anyone with a basic knowledge of firearms can see the absurdity of this--the deformation of a fired bullet would obviously obliterate any number engraved on it.
