Five “freemen” met with FBI negotiators for almost two hours on a wind-swept road inside the compound near Jordan, Mont., where they have staged a 24-day-old standoff with federal agents. It was the first face-to-face meeting between the anti-government extremists and outside negotiators since four Montana legislators met with them almost two weeks ago.
