Pedestrian’s Freeway Death Called Suicide

ORANGE — A 26-year-old Orange man was hit by a car on the Garden Grove Freeway and killed Saturday night in what authorities say was a suicide.
Hoa Nguyen was hit at 10:49 p.m. in the freeway’s slow lane near the Lewis Street bridge by the driver of an Isuzu Rodeo traveling west about 50 mph, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said. Nguyen died at the scene and the driver was neither cited nor identified, the spokeswoman said.
