Texas businessman Ross Perot repeated his claim that one of the major political parties had attempted to recruit him to underwrite a $1-million dirty tricks campaign for the 1994 elections and strongly suggested it was the Republicans. Perot said on TV that he had evidence to support the charge, which he would reveal this year. GOP Chairman Haley Barbour denied any party involvement.
