Rancho Santiago Manages to Get Past Saddleback

Kristi Bolle’s fourth-inning RBI single and Sheryl Anderson’s six-hitter helped Rancho Santiago defeat Saddleback, 1-0, in an Orange Empire Conference softball game Wednesday at Rancho Santiago.
Bolle’s single scored Liz Perez from second with two outs in the fourth for the game’s only run, helping Rancho Santiago (29-16-1, 14-5 in conference) move into third in the conference.
Saddleback is fourth at 28-10, 13-6.
In other Orange Empire Conference games:
Cypress 4, Orange Coast 0--Shanna Rizzo pitched a four-hitter and Danielle Lindgren hit an RBI double for first-place Cypress (42-13, 16-3).
Fullerton 6, Golden West 1--Becki Justen hit a two-run single to give Fullerton (31-9, 15-4) a two-run lead in the top of the seventh. The Hornets scored three unearned runs in the seventh to help them remain a game behind Cypress.
Irvine Valley 2, Riverside 0--Tami Harris pitched a four-hitter with six strikeouts and scored a run for host Irvine Valley (17-25, 4-15).
