Chicago Trust Buys Huntington Complex

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Equity Residential Properties Trust, the nation’s largest public owner of apartments, said it completed the purchase of the 310-unit Regency Palms Apartments in Huntington Beach for $18.5 million.
The Regency Palms is among 18 apartment complexes that Chicago-based Equity Residential has agreed to buy for a total of about $281 million. The moves boost the company’s portfolio of apartment properties by about 11% to 218 complexes with 65,755 units.
