Emulex Corp.: The Costa Mesa manufacturer of computer network access products recorded a net loss of $2.3 million, or 39 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter, contrasted with profit of $874,000, or 14 cents a share, for the same quarter a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 declined 34% to $12.7 million from $19.1 million. The company said results continued to be affected by reduced sales to original equipment manufacturers.

For the nine months, the company lost $8.7 million, or $1.47 a share, compared with profit of $2.8 million, or 46 cents a share, for the corresponding three quarters of the prior fiscal year. Revenue fell 36% to $35.8 million from $55.9 million.
