It was with some interest that I read your story on the movement of paranormal shows into the home video market where they have shown surprising strength (“ ‘Alien Sightings’ (At a Store Near You,” by Diane Garrett, April 7).
However, contrary to the statements of Vidmark Entertainment’s representative, who claimed that no one had come forward to dispute the authenticity of the so-called “alien autopsy” footage that his company is distributing, “Sightings” presented a lengthy segment in this past season’s premiere episode debunking the footage. The segment featured numerous interviews with a range of Hollywood special effects experts, Roswell researchers and well-known, veteran UFO investigators.
Their consensus: The footage is fake, end of story.
