BREA — The Police Department has begun a monthly cable television show called COPPS Watch.
The show, hosted by dispatcher Suzette Young and Cpl. Clyde Wason, is designed to provide viewers with a better understanding of the Police Department and promote more communication between the police and community, officials said.
The program spotlights police programs and services, and provides coverage of issues, safety tips and other features.
New episodes are shown the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. on Channel 3. Programs will be replayed Monday through Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30 p.m.
The program, whose acronym stands for Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving, also will be broadcast in Yorba Linda, which contracts with Brea for police services.
