* Re Conrad’s twist on Michelangelo (“If Michelangelo were to paint God today . . .,” April 19: Ascribing to God the worst evils conceived in the minds of men and executed by man against humanity couldn’t be farther from the truth or go more against the very nature and character of God. This is taking the name of the Lord in vain just as surely as those who invoke God’s name to commit the unspeakable acts.
